  • Information on Carbon and Climate Change at Upland Hardwood Ecology and Management

Scientists within the Upland Hardwood Ecology and Management Research Work Unit 4157, along with many collaborators and partners, are studying how climate change may affect forests, how forest management can influence carbon sequestration by trees to mitigate climate change, and are studying how climate change may affect wildlife, and potential conservation strategies for some species in a changing climate.
  • Climate Change Research at the Coweeta Hydrologic Laboratory

Climate has been monitored at Coweeta Hydrologic Laboratory through a network of climate and rain gauging stations since 1934. Climate parameters such as temperature, rainfall, wind speed and direction, humidity, solar radiation, air quality, and evaporation continue to be measured at different elevations and aspects across the Coweeta basin.
  • Climate Change and Pollution Research at the Eastern Forest Environmental Threat Assessment Center

EFETAC researchers work with other scientists nationally as well as with a variety of Federal, State, and local government agencies, universities, and non-governmental partners to address forest threats. For our research on Climate Change, click the link above.
