Menominee Tribal Enterprises forest regeneration efforts

Informally Refereed

Abstract

Menominee Tribal Enterprises (MTE) is located in northeastern Wisconsin on the Menominee Indian Reservation, which includes ten townships of mostly forested land. Past fires, windstorms, and logging all have affected the composition and structure of this forest, which brings us to why regeneration on the forest is very important. Stands are regenerated with tree planting or through natural regeneration using shelterwoods.
