Abstract
This report presents an overview of the technology of converting wood to energy and the availability of wood.The first section describes fuel values and significant processes used to generate various energy products from wood. Physical, technical, and economic availability of the wood resource is discussed in the second section. The paper concludes with an outline of some critical problems in handling wood and some socioeconomic factors that impact the production of energy from wood.
