Under the Mission Problem (Problem 1), we will complete a number of manuscripts involving wildlife and streamside zone relationships and several other miscellaneous topics.

Accomplishments planned for the next 5 years:

Complete existing studies and publish manuscripts on the following topics:

  1. Natural history of the red-bellied woodpecker (species accounts for The Birds of North America).
  2. Nest box use and habitat selection by prothonotary warblers.
  3. Furbearer use of streamside management zones and adjacent forest stands in eastern Texas.
  4. Bird communities of Arkansas streamside management zones.
  5. Small mammal communities of Arkansas streamside management zones.
  6. Breeding phenology of anurans in forested habitats of eastern Texas.
