Research results from the Utilization of Southern Forest Resources (RWU- 4704) are disseminated to forest resource professionals and to the public through peer-reviewed publications in scientific journals, the Compass (a quarterly magazine published by the Forest Service Southern Research Station), presentations at scientific conferences.

RWU 4704 scientists and collaborators have authored or co-authored hundreds of publications on wood utilization. Most publications written by RWU 4704 scientists or partners are available at our SRS publications website, or can be ordered by sending your name and complete mailing address, title, author, and publication number (for example, GTR-55) to: pubrequest@fs.fed.us.
