8 Acknowledgments

This report involved the work and contributions of many people. The USDA Forest Service FIA unit in Asheville, NC, provided assistance in analyzing FIA data. The growth and yield tables were developed in a cooperative effort between personnel in the Southern Forest Resource Assessment Consortium, the RPA timber analysis staff, and forest industry representatives with the American Forest and Paper Association. The USDA Forest Service, forest industry, timberland management organizations, the American Forest and Paper Association, and State forestry organizations provided data from forest owner surveys and assisted in interpreting their results. Researchers from the Department of Forestry, North Carolina State University, also provided valuable inputs.
