<abstract>This data set was used to collect social survey data for the SFRA SOCIO2 chapter. The data set was  derived from a social survey of randomly selected households in the 13 state region and conducted by the University of Tennessee as part of the National Survey of Recreation and the Environment.</abstract>
<purpose>The purpose of the data was to understand the residents' attitudes and values toward forests and their management.</purpose>
