Current Research:
Research focuses on the silviculture of natural, mixed pine hardwood stands; long-term goals are to develop techniques for their creation and maintenance. Both even- and uneven-aged reproduction cutting methods are being tested over a wide range of site and stand conditions. Scientists from other disciplines have collaborated in much of this research.
Collaborative Research:
Interested in modifying traditional silviculture systems to provide an array of multiple resources and benefits. Have served as the silviculturist in multiple-disciplinary teams evaluating forestry practices.
