Current Research: |
| Water quality and erosion processes are the focus of several current projects. These include: an assessment of alternative management prescriptions in SMZs in the coastal Plain, assessment of the impact of various temporary stream crossings on water quality, and a long-termevaluation of the effect of forest roads in bottomland hardwood stands subjected to flooding. In addition, we are investigating system performance of new harvesting equipment for wet sites and in cut-to-length operations.I also have ongoing projects to evaluate the operator's workstation on grapple skidders and to examine hazards and risk taking in forest work. |
Collaborative Research: |
| Assessment of ecological impacts of forest operations; safety and performance of forest workers; impacts of tropical timber harvesting. |
