Current Research: |
My current research includes the monitoring and assessment of forest resources at multiple geographic scales. Specific research topics include hurricane damage in Mississippi's forests, southern pine beetle damage, growth and removals on National Forests, wetlands in Western Tennessee, and nontimber forest product harvests in the United States. Additional responsibilities and interests include:- Lead Forest Inventory Analyst for Mississippi and Louisiana
- Alternate Correspondent for the Forest Service to the United Nations FAO in Rome, Italy
- Co-author on the U.S. Report on Sustainable Forests, U.S. Resources Planning Act report, and U.S. Forest Facts brochure for 2010

Collaborative Research: |
| Collaborative research includes the impacts of nonnative invasive plants on forest management, disturbance detection combining satellite imagery and forest inventory data, impacts of insect infestations on forest structure, and the current and historical trends of forest resources in Mississippi and Louisiana. |
