In addition to information on the national RSF and other regional roundtable efforts, this link also provides information about the First Workshop of the Southern Roundtable on Sustainable Forests (look under “What’s New”).

This project initially assessed information in the Southern Forest Resource Assessment and how well this data could regionally measure the Montreal Process Criteria and Indicators (MP C&I). The project was then expanded to look at other data sources in the South and nationwide, to see if in fact, we could effectively scale down and measure the MP C&I in the South. Check out this link for the project findings as well as links to data sources for forest resources.

Forest Certification is used to promote good stewardship and responsible forestry practices. Learn more about the different types of forest certification systems available and find out which is right for you.

“The Montréal Process is the Working Group on Criteria and Indicators for the Conservation and Sustainable Management of Temperate and Boreal Forests. It was formed in Geneva, Switzerland, in June 1994 to develop and implement internationally agreed criteria and indicators for the conservation and sustainable management of temperate and boreal forests.
