Description: Findings are presented from a 1983-84 survey of forest recreation use by Alabama residents. Relationships are explored among demographics of forest users and nonusers. Suggested are hypotheses for use in classifying regional forest inventory data in terms of recreation use and user categories associated with a range of preferences.
