Description:	In loblolly planted at 10 by 10 feet, light- and medium- thinned plots had slightly more sawtimber-sized trees and board-foot volume than unthinned checks and heavily thinned plots at all ages. Average diameters of all trees were largest on checks, followed by light-thinned plots. Trends were similar for 32-year-old slash pine planted at 6 by 7 feet.
