Title: Supplying the Pacific Rim With U.S. Hardwoods
Author(s): Araman, Philip A.
Date: 1991
Source: Proceedings, 1991 SAF National Convention. pp. 491-496.
Description: The U.S. grows much more hardwood timber each year than is used for domestic and export markets. However, we do have some problems. We present a quick look at our Eastern hardwood resource situation (species, quality, availability), and suggest necessary cooperation by our export customers in the Pacific Rim to help assure adequate supplies of hardwood products. Resources and exports by species are compared to make some necessary points.
