Description: The 1974 Oregon timber harvest of 8.36 billion board feet was 9.2 percent, or 0.84 billion board feet, below the 1973 harvest. (The data for 1973 were adjusted to reflect the change in reporting of harvest on Bureau of Land Management lands; see footnote 3 of table.) While the harvest in western Oregon decreased 14.7 percent, eastern Oregon cut increased 11.5 percent.
