Abstract
The Longleaf Alliance, in cooperation with the USDA Forest Service, the Georgia Forestry Commission, and the Clemson Extension Service, has installed numerous longleaf pine (
Pinus palustris Mill.) seedling quality studies across the Southeastern United States. This paper reviews survival and growth for different classes of container-grown longleaf pine including: target seedlings, floppies, doubles, and sondereggers (hybrids) two to three growing seasons post-outplanting.
