Description:	Abstract. Two studies were conducted in 1980 and 1982 to determine if hardwood stems killed by hexazinone were suitable for use as firewood. Mixed hardwood-pine stands, in the upper Piedmont of Georgia and in central Florida, we treated with labeled rates of hexazinone in pellet or liquid formulations.
