Facilities

 

The Forest Operations Research Unit is located in the George W. Andrews Forestry Sciences Laboratory, a 20,000 square ft facility in the new Auburn University Research Park. The research complex is shared with the Vegetation Management Research Unit of the Southern Research Station. Specialized facilities available to the Forest Operations Unit include labs for processing and analyzing soil and water samples, a wood shop and a machine shop for fabrication and modification of equipment and field samplers, a graphics and video analysis lab for time study, an electronics lab for fabrication and repair of data collection equipment, and large bay test space for enclosed testing areas. In addition there is a large multi-media conference room and a research library.
