Forest Eco - Past Editions

Forest Eco is a two-minute podcast and radio module distributed monthly by the U.S. Forest Service Southern Research Station.

Forest Eco brings listeners on an audio adventure into the world of Forest Service research and its scientists, who are working to better understand and solve or mitigate many of the South's natural resource challenges.

Climate change, wood to energy, water quality, and nonnative invasive species are among the "hot topics" explored in Forest Eco, which highlights innovative research spanning "Virginia to Florida, Texas to Kentucky."

The Southern Research Station offers Forest Eco free of charge to commercial, public, and online radio stations. Editions of Forest Eco can be downloaded using the wav files posted on this page. Program directors are asked to notify Stevin Westcott, Southern Research Station press officer and Forest Eco host, if they plan to air the program. Contact Westcott at swestcott@fs.fed.us or 828-259-0512. Learn more about Forest Eco: PDF (1.3 MB)
