A Synthetic Review of Timber Supply Models

Description:
This study conducted a critical review of various timber supply modeling approaches. A theoretical framework tying individual begavior to aggregate supply was established and empirical modeling approaches were evaluated in this context. The study concludes that new approaces are needed to explicitly account for the heterogenous qualities (age, species, and productivity) of forests. Subsequent studies have addressed some of these issues.
