Investigators:
Fred Cubbage, North Carolina State University (formerly Southern Research Station)
Douglas Carter, University of Florida
Description:
Analysis of southern pine pulpwood harvesting systems indicates that substantial increases in productivity and decreases in per unit costs occurred between 1979 and 1987. These changes were attributable to increased use of longwood harvesting systems in the region.
