Description:
Timber consultants are only sometimes employed to facilitate forest management and timber sales in forests of private nonindustrial landowners. Are the benefits of hiring a consultant greater than the up-front costs of hiring them? This line of research found that, in general, consultants produce greater economic benefits to the private landowners that hire them than the fees from their employment.
