SRS Integrating Human and Natural Systems Unit

The SRS Integrating Human and Natural Systems unit, which is split between Athens, GA, and Gainesville, FL, focuses on improving the understanding of how people living in urban and urbanizing landscapes both influence and are influenced by natural environments. The technology transfer centers associated with the unit, collectively called the Centers for Urban and Interface Forestry, develop and communicate guidelines, models, and tools for natural resource professionals, policymakers, planners, and citizens.
