| Current Research | Present focus is the biology of Cerulean Warbler, involves several study areas, multiple approaches, and geographic information systems technology for analysis of the distribution and abundance of this species in the Mississippi Alluvial Valley. Additional focus of interest is investigation of management impacts on additional taxa of terrestrial vertebrates, including small mammal communities and terrestrial molluscs. |
| Collaborative Research | Major research interest involves impacts of forest management and landscape processes on biology, conservation and management of Neotropical migratory birds, inventory and monitoring for Neotropical migrants and other nongame birds, impacts of forest management on birds and other animals. Additional interests are the ecology of old-growth forests and winter habitats of Neotropical migratory birds, in both Caribbean and mainland Central and South American landscapes. Much of this work requires collaboration because the studies are larger than a single group can conduct. |
