Dr. Mark Eisenbies joins CBHR Staff

Dr. Mark H. Eisenbies begins October 1, 2007 as a Research Hydrologist at the Center for Bottomland Hardwoods Research and will be located in the forestry school on the campus of Mississippi State University. Dr. Eisenbies completed his Ph.D. degree in forestry in 2004 at Virginia Tech, where he also received his B.S. degree (in forestry and wildlife). Mark's Master's degree in soil science is from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Mark is no stranger to the Southern Research Station having worked for the Center for Forested Wetlands Research, Charleston, S.C. from 1996 to early 2000, when he decided to go back to school for his Ph.D. Mark will be researching issues related to the hydrology of lowland forests and landscapes in the Mississippi Alluvial Floodplain, and other associated systems.
