2006 SRS Director's Award

Each year Southern Research Station Director Peter J. Roussopoulos recognizes the outstanding contributions that support the mission of the Southern Research Station and the Forest Service.

Please join us in congratulating Dr. Ted Leininger, CBHR Project Leader, and Dr. Emile Gardiner, Research Forester, both from our Stoneville, MS headquarters site, for their selection as recipients of the Maintaining and Enhancing the Nation’s Natural Resources and Environment Award.

Their citation reads... "For the development and application of expert knowledge of afforestation methods that became public policy in a revision of the Conservation Reserve Program’s Conservation Practice 31".
