Enclosed, as a downloadable PDF (100 pages, 4Megs), is a copy of the 1997 Annual Report of the USDA Forest Service Southern Research Station.  This is our first Annual Report since the consolidation of the former Southern and Southeastern Forest Experiment Stations and contains useful background material, as well as information about our recent accomplishments.

This document includes an extensive list of the publications that our scientists have written or co-authored.  Many of these are currently available for downloading from our Website at www.srs.fs.fed.us/pubs/ and more are being added every week. Making the results of our natural resource research work accessible to people throughout the nation and the world is at the heart of our program.
