Crossett Forestry Field Day

RWU-4159 regularly offers forestry field days to help
foresters and private landowners learn about cutting-edge research and
technological developments designed to help improve the practice of
low cost natural stand management. In addition to presenting the
work of unit scientists, over the years other experts from many
different disciplines and backgrounds have been brought in to help
with this valuable outreach program. Crossett Forestry Field
Days are typically offered in early May at the Crossett Experimental
Forest, and are sponsored by the USDA Forest Service, the Arkansas
Cooperative Extension Service, the Arkansas Forestry Commission, and
the School of Forestry of the University of Arkansas at Monticello.

A barbecue lunch and transportation will be provided at the Crossett Experimental Forest, and a nominal charge will be made to cover these expenses.
